That is what I do, I think it is the best option as you are not worried if they are falling off the back all the time!!

An old t-shirt to protect the tank and round your waist is the way to go!!!

Get a sportsrack... Makes stuff like this dead easy:



Obviously that's just wheels, but you can do it fine with tyres on them, or just with tyres. Hardly essential, but they're very handy things to have around.
