Unless you're a courier, in which case it's fine to drill a hole in the centre of the chin guard in order to smoke ciggies through when on the go!

The glue-attacking-helmets thing is more for plastic lids if I remember my CBT right. There's more nasties in the paint solvents than in most light glues really...

Wow thanks for the great response, those custom paint jobs are just amazing, I wish I could afford one but I think Im going to have to go with the stickers or just bear the shame of looking like I have a cop helmet for a little longer till I can afford to get a custom spray job. My luck will be that the day I get it done I will have an off and the helmet will be toast.....!

Don't want to pour cold water on this, but wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a lid with a cool design on rather than have a spray job?

True. But I haven't seen one of the affected type of plastic lids in a few years now.*

I always buy a white lid, much cheaper than the lurid paint schemes that I rarely like anyway. And the effect is good too - much more noticeable.

*Awaits multitude of posts from those with the relevant sort of lids all bought in the last week.
