I've just started taking my 03's front end off and the second allen bolt has just rounded instantly! Is there someone out there selling proper bolts for suzukis?

These chocolate ones just aren't up to standard!

No. Should I be?

I'm not planning on riding around without it mate, just whipping it off to get the fork-eating gunge out from under.

Oddly enough I needed to take off the front mudguard for my K6 this weekend to fit a Fenda Extender.

It's easy. Just undo the outer threaded screws with an Allen key then reach in with a 10mm socket and deal with the two inside bolts. Fiddly but not difficult.

Putting it back on is just the reverse except I first located the mudguard with the outer bolts leaving them finger-tight, tightened the inner bolts and finished off the outer bolts last. Voila.

Cautionary word though: the previous post from svdemon warning about rounding the bolts with an Allen key is on the button - make sure you have exactly the right size Allen key and be gentle when you loosen or tighten. Unfortunately this is a risk with stainless bolts and screws - they don't have the same hardness as other types of steel but at least they won't rust!
