Re: Gizmo for turning a bike in a confined area ? :)
Its here but my bike isnt. My bikes at my folks house while I have some building work down. The only way I have tested it is for me to stand on it and then spin round which works with ease!!
Hopefully I will have my bike back later on this week and be able to use it then. Ch00

No need to buy any gizmo; turning bike in a confined area is all about technique. One technique in particular...

Are V rods really that heavy? I sat on one and it felt like a toy! I had ridden 1000 miles on an Electra glide though.
Derail over, I've read bad reports about one of the things you get the rear wheel on so it can turn sideways. Bad manufacturing. Can't remember which and can't find it now but it may have been on my Triumph forum (loads of whinging yanks). It is surprising how much you can move if you do it right. I had no grab rail and shifted my bike using the pillion peg holder but then I'm big. Still that's only half of it as are the lazy Susans. I think you should go with the stoppie technique and budget for new suspension....er bearing stuff. And a higher garage roof if that's the problem! I've got it! Wheel the bike into the space backwards! Simple but genius. All the best things are: the widget, Newton's laws, me.... |

just put a piece of cardboard down where you park it. Then when you need to spin it, just spin it by hand, it will slide nice in a garage.
