It was awesome to see on the big screen, the models of the dams still looked cool. The average age of the audience was about 50, it was packed and was the first time I've ever heard spontaneous applause break out at the end. I'm even more annoyed that I missed the screening of Henry V two weeks ago... ... but at least there's Withnail & I on next Tuesday. ![]() |

SCRUBBERS!!!!!!
I love that film. Although its one of those where you have to be prepared to immerse youself into it. Anyway, Dog Soldiers is a cracking film. My favourite line is the tiny homage to The Matrix when one of the soldiers asks where their colleague nick named "Spoon" is, to which Pertwee replies, after seeing him just blown to bits, "There is no Spoon"....Class. |

Hey - nowt to do with being a student - I've had a pass card since they were first brought out by MGM (or Virgin, it's so long ago now I can't remember) cinemas, couple of months before the Matrix first came out...
... then they were bought out by UCI who changed it from a bi-monthly thing to a monthly subscription... ... who were then bought out by Cineworld who have kept the scheme going. £10.99 a month and I can go and see any showing, any film, as many times as I like - it's a free night out if I don't buy any popcorn! It was a fairly good deal when the scheme started, but considering the rising ticket prices and the fact that the card started at £9.99 it's not too shabby. I think it goes up by another quid next month, but £2 in 8 years - ![]() |

dog soldiers is a class film dont understand how dam busters made it into the thread i suppose my dad would like it i never managed to stay awake to get all the way through it on a sunday afternoon. sheep looks good seen the decent cracking film reckon dog soldiers 2 will be pants if the yanks get hold of the story kind of like the cave up to the decent they seem to think if they put some marines in it will carry the film. ive worked with us marines in hong kong and around old territories of china they are the slackest laziest bunch of wannabes ive ever seen, no discipline
