Trading standards. I'm sure it would be under weights and measures act. The pumps in stations probably get inspected regular along with an analysis of the content.

Basically, trust the government!

Or you could take a measuring jug with you next time? But then how do you know the measuring jug will be any more accurate than the petrol pump?! LOL

Lol, I have 2 large whiskey bottles and 4 cadbury's rose tubs plus loads of bags. the change gets taken to Tesco's every other week or so

It might be a penny, but think from the petrol station's perspective, 5m litres sold = £50k extra profit

Don't you remember that taken from the maths thread 0.99999999 = 1, so basically £9.99 and £10 are the same, so don't worry
