I beleive they sense for the pulsations in power coming from the alternator
or I could be talking rubbish and they just switch off below 13v or something like

grips:
white/red - brown/green (connect white to brown and red to green) controlbox : Black/red - black/black with white mark (connect black wires, and the red one with the marked one) at least that's how it is on my bike. I have them connected to the fuse box, manual said they can be connected to the battery. I think this doesn't matter as they turn them self off whenever I idle (low charging voltage while idling). |

I want to put mine on.
ButI dont know how to wire them up (i want to wire them to the ignition circuit, so that when I turn off the ignition, the grips turn off too) And I need to make up a better braket so the controller lives inside the fairing, not on the handlebar exposes to all and sundry Matt |

this is good....... but i dont have the wire going from battery to the control box so i have to use my own, so out of the rsd & the white boming off the control box which is the live to go to the battery, im thinking its the red one, but its just a calculated guess thanx |

Orange wire coming out of the ignition switch connector, make sure you use a fuse as this is only protected by the main fuse.
