Re: 2019 - ride out with an overnight?
I've just reread my reply and it seems negative. It's not meant to be. The Packman is a superb bit of kit and if you use all of it's many features is no doubt brilliant, but I just don't need them. Because of the sheer number of things it does it means the menus and switches are complex.
One thing I will say is I use a custom made set of ear plugs with good quality speakers so I what a unit with a standard jack plug.

Re: 2019 - ride out with an overnight?
If I may jump in here now I'm also a Scala user but a Freecom 4, it's the first model in the range that will do rider-rider and unlike the Packtalk models, easy to work! It's 4 agricultural feeling buttons I generally have no problems with even in winter gloves.Set my unit volume to lowest with medium gain control so it'l self adjust depending on ambient noise, Garmin master volume takes care of nav media and phone
I'm also like LOM using custom in-ears, a benefit of the Scala is their standard 3.5mm audio jacks Last edited by Chris_SVS; 12-01-19 at 10:53 PM. |

No chance! I don't want other people interrupting me while I sing, fart, shout at other road users, and generally talk b0ll0cks to myself!

Stuff like "you stay there", "oops", "Will it fit through there?", "and we lived" She only really worried if there was copious swearing involved. Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk

We got off the ferry in Amsterdam a few years ago and it had started raining so I pulled to the side in the dry when still on the boat, to stick my gloves up my sleeves. Mrs LOM says "I hope you've got a fag break planned ", me " Yes in Luxembourg", her "Is that after Holland", me "No it's after Belgium". She did't see the funny side. Needless to say we stopped in Belgium and Luxembourg.
