Plaster cast is off. Now I have to gradually start weight bearing using the big plastic boot. Long recovery ahead but three surgeon said it's all looking good so far.

Went into Homebase to buy an 8mm drill bit, came out with a 18v Bosch cordless drill, which was half price!

Didn't get the drill bit, as they were out of stock, but as both my cordless drills are knackered, then this was a result.

Saw my neighbour and he's lent me the drill bit

Had a go on a KTM Freeride E-SX and I gotta say I was impressed, the lack of noise is a little disturbing but riding one on an indoor MX track was a complete hoot. I'm still slow and carp off road but it was great.

The torque off the motor was a bit strange but hey ho.

I'd definitely say give one a go if you get the chance.

After months of practice and learning (and one heck of a lot of driving him and sometimes his horse to lessons) youngest has finally passed uis Pony Club C+ test atfer a 4 1/2 hour exam which now means that he is qualified to look after his horse whist I am somewhere on the property but not directly supervising him, just there for advice, a bit like GCSE in horse. Well done him, although he now wants to do his B test which is like A level horse. I have told him not yet some practice and learning required before that.
