146x is one lightweight FS... I couldn't even get a demo on a poverty spec one when I was looking, and I wasn't willing to wait to get my hand on one at 3 months without a demo. Are the waiting lists still that long?

Theres one in stock, my size that needs a few spec tweeks where I'm getting the demo from.

Riding it next to the five just makes the five, (although a really nice bike), feel massively overweight and sluggish

Was looking at the orange gyro too.

Yeah not surprised... The 146x is as light as lightweight alloy hardtails! In fact it's only 1kg more than my carbon hardtail which is impressive.

At double the price of the five i would be wanting it to feel light and non sluggish. Although my five am is probably scratching £4400rrp, different bikes for different purposes though I guess.

I would certainly do thing differently if I was doing it again.

Have you considered the santacruz tallboy if your considering the gyro?

Ha, I just realised where the weight saving is on the 146x!!! A £2k wheelset rotating mass too.
