Vintage film cameras

I was out for 7 hours on the SV today and managed to use a bit more film in the XA3. Went down to Spurn point and came back via the coast road but not too much inspiration for photos. Very flat with lots of wind turbines.

I've been meaning to go there for some time, just for the experience, and to look for shark egg cases on the beach. It is a bit of a bleak part of the world. I used to work in Hull, but lived on the other side of the Humber - that's as close as I wanted to get! The bridge is impressive though, if somewhat ridiculous.

Very bleak. Almost impossible to take a pic with a point and shoot, looking west along the estuary - right into the sun, which was reflecting off the water. With boots, leathers etc, I wasn't really dressed for a wander along the sands but I'd like to go back for a better look around

Yeah, have seen that but all camera ´d out this month! Film got stuck in the 620 junior and wouldn't advance anymore. Had finished the roll but I couldn't wind the tail onto the spool. Had to unload it in a changing bag.

Hmm curious, at least you were able to get it out. Missed out on the Contina, went for £28 which is a fair to good price. Ah well.

Yeah, I watched it finish. What was it? A Zeiss rangefinder? Hey Johnny, any signs of life from the Bessa?

Basically an Ikonta 35 with an uncoupled RF built into the top plate, just like a Mess Ikonta.

Not got to either yet TBH, maybe this week, just got back from Wales.

Ah, didn't realise you were away. Take any shots while you were gone? Where's Yoko gone?

I finally took the last shot with the Certo and have just filled in the form for processing. That was all I had left, it was a shot from our little town, but I was waiting for the right light, and hopefully I haven't screwed it up! The RF and VF are a bit difficult to use, plus I worry about carrying it around so much so it'll spend most of its time on a shelf I think, but I'm looking forward to seeing the pictures. Also hoping the Konica pics look good, it's great to use, shame the meter needle isn't visible in the finder, and no Judas window, but that's all. Rolls also from Contessamat and Mess Ikonta (colour) to be sent off.

It's only just gone dark (sort of), he'll be just waking up!

I was away with work, just an overnighter. We're trying to finalise the details of a new kitchen and I have some stuff to look into (or Mr. Rod won't be happy), I don't like to pick up a camera and have a go then leave it for more than a day or two. The Bessa seemed a bit sticky but looked fine otherwise so I'm sure it'll be okay. I won't send anything until after you get back though.

Was bidding on a Voigtlander Vito 2 folder but missed out. Going to take the D3200, TZ35 and Trip 35.
