Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
The slow cooker ragu is the best lasagne sauce I've ever made. A mixture of free range organic mince and stewing steak, Italian passata, mushrooms, carrots, and onions from the local farm shop, Isle of Wight garlic, home grown herbs all slow cooked for seven hours and left to rest overnight. Then layered up with bechemel sauce also cooked from scratch with a tub of mascarpone stirred in. Served with garlic bread. Yum.

It either bypassed Buckinghamshire or I slept through it...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Rummaging in the fridge at lunchtime I found a bottle of unopened gold top and a tub of single cream that needed using up. Chucked it all in the slow cooker with some sugar, risotto rice, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Now the house smells divine and I've got a huge rice pudding to eat. It's not healthy but it tastes blooming lovely.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Really pleased my daughter's school has got organised enough to have a local football club interested in using their astro pitch. It just needs floodlights now, and their seemingly doing OK in getting those.
But I'd any of you would like to help - it's free to help but they need online votes for funding. https://foundation.onefamily.com/pro...hool-4g-pitch/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
