Re: Films I've watched recently...
We t to Odeon last night for Screen Unseen, book a ticket which was about half price normal for my location, turn up and get surprised by the showing.
Can be any upcoming movie, was hoping for Widows and was pleasantly surprised with American Animals. I'd not actually heard of the film before it started, my mate had and helpfully said "it's about a robbery". Not seen any trailers but he said that the film wasn't how the trailers portrayed. It's quite good, and is a split between documentary and narrative storytelling. A few fun moments and a few not so. Gave an interesting insight to their side of the story and how they went from normal life to that. Overall I'd say it's worth a watch especially if you have meerkat movies. And I imagine it's similar to the how to make a murderer style stuff, I think, not seen how to make a murderer though Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk

Thread resurrection!! Catching up on films helped keep me sane during lockdown.
I watched Painted Bird last night. It's not an easy one to describe and some might find it a hard watch but it's had me thinking about it all day. Visually stunning with brilliant black and white cinematography. |
