Bloody thunderbugs! I am boiling here at work, no AC . Window open so I am just sitting here sweating and being covered in these crappy black bugs, making me itch everywhere! Still got an hour ot go before I can leave and go to get my new tyre fitted!

I'm sitting here in my air conditioned office. Nice.

However, I am getting annoyed by constant interruptions involving work no less.

New rear tyre and pads done now! Slowly my bike is getting more presentable. The rear brake travels very far though before it brakes hard, any ideas how to stiffen it up? or is it air in the system or swelling brake lines. I saw some rather good prices listed for goodridge steel hoses on the forum...

I'm not too sure, but do know that when Dan changed his to steel cables, they went very squidgy after the first trackday and he had to re-bleed the remaining excess air out of them. So worth doing it again (a few times)...

Could be a multitude of things. Old fluid, old lines, air leak in the callipers, blocked air in the lines, diaphragm holed. If your pads are fine, I would start by bleeding the system with new fluid and see how it is after that. You'll then cover off the air in the lines and new fluid in one hit.

Nah, I'm in favour of just doing it once but correctly.

I found a bolt. On a threaded stick. I turned it. The lever travels less far. I am such a good mechanic!
