Filling, finishing and preparing the ZX6r fairing that I've chopped back for the bar conversion before spraying it. Hoping for slightly warmer weather for the painting.

New Denali S4 spotlights fitted.

l/h fork seal leaking on the VFR. Damn annoying as I changed the fork leg and seal only 6000 miles ago due to pitted chrome.

On inspection I can't see anything obvious that would have damaged the seal but then I did use a pattern item. Anyhow a new seal fitted, an OEM one this time.

It's not a job I enjoy as it's messy and I always struggle with driving in the bush and new seal.

Yes, I replaced it 6k miles ago along with the seal. That's why it's annoying that I've got another leak. Nothing wrong with the new one that I can see.

You called me fancy when you heard I treated myself to a Motion Pro driver for the VFR. I've used it twice now. That's about £17 per use so far.


Also recently fitted VFR seals and went for OEM ones. Not too expensive and not a job I want to have to undo due to cheaper parts.

I did treat myself to a Sealy seal driver but it was a cheap plastic one and of course it's got no weight to it. I've since realised that it needs a shell to go around it and that's another £20. Doh!

Another thing I did is drop the forks down 5mm to quicken the steering. I can feel the difference.

I dropped mine 3mm. I think it might be cancelled out by the Nitron shock on the rear that I have no idea of the specs of. I'll send it to them for servicing some time and see if they can tell me how it's set up compared to stock height for the bike and spring weight, valving etc.
