Default Gripe of the day - What is yours?

A Facebook page asking drivers to save a biker by opening eyes.

The comments are almost all about bikers being idiots.
I reckon about a third of drivers on the A1(M) in the mornings are on phones emailing, texting and updating Facebook.

Unless you ride a motorcycle. You can not appreciate theadvantage of better opportunities for observations.
That's why we can spot overtakes etc when a car driver thinks it's unsafe.
We can out accelerate and generally out manoeuvre cars.
Jealousy is a big issue in life and it very evident on the roads.

Considerate drivers that move over to let you pass in heavy traffic, only for some A-hole in a cage to see you coming and move over to the centre line to block you off.

My gripe today is hearing all the news stories about it being ten years since the London bombings. I don't mean I'm griping about the news, I mean it saddens me that those people lost their lives just going to work on the tube and bus, something I do every day, I missed Aldgate bomb by seconds, I was running early that day, I'm lucky. Some were not and I think of them and their families today.

It will be, I'm sure, a strange day.
I'm still staggered to believe that a colleague walked off one of the trains not realising the severity of what had happened. He was on one of the trains when it happened, he got out physically uninjured, walked to Paddington and continued his way to the office in Reading. He completed a 'normal' days training.

He left a few months later, completely shaken, to work a rural contract.

He was very lucky.

He phoned me from the train to Reading completely unaware of what happened on the tube. Bizarre phone call.

Sometimes I think that fate intervenes. My brother was booked on the Herald of Free Enterprise departure the day it sank, but had decided to leave work early and took an earlier ferry. The first time he had left early.

Surveys that ask yes/no questions and require a 1-10 answer.... Silly **** buckets.

Having to take the front callipers apart before going to work because something doesn't feel right. Juddering at a particular speed and pressure applied - doesn't do it any other time, speed or brakiness. It's not warped discs, so it's a process of elimination.
