The best thing to do would be a simple vote if the PM plan was chosen. Cause can't guarantee dates till then anyhow,

Shropshire YFC have a really good Wurzels act. And I'm sure I could get a combine for the kids to clamber over, there's no shortage of the damn things around here right now

Ah well perhaps not

In my opinion anything along the lines of organised entertainment would change the whole feel of the AR. Nw that change may be welcomed by some but I wouldn't like it. As Supervox said, we considered and rejected the idea, and I believe the original AR09 plan considered it but the idea didn't go down with many poeple.

I think the org people are their own entertainment.

Well the wife is excited by the idea given we had to cancel our tour across Europe so anywhere is fine by us.
Just need to decide if we get a babysitter for the wee one or a sidecar

Just like to throw this into the pot.
Why not have a regional get together? The Pennine Section is a fairly active group and could hold a meeting in its own right and would probably pull in people who do not want to travel to the other end of the country.
Also Berlin suggested a mini get together up at East Fortune, this could be organised at most race meetings, you have ample camping space, toilets, showers and some form of catering unit plus the benefit of bike racing to watch.

Well SV and Messie, who would prefer not to have entertainment, this is why these questions get asked, and its better we have negative feedback than none at all.

Messie, I could imagine a certain member with a comedy horse would be extrememly entertaining if he had a bunch of fiddlers to dance to

MrMessy, we in the Pennine Massive do organise local get togethers, not as many this year, as folk have been busy. The last major one was the Hardy Bikers which I attended, but there has been Catherine wheel rides, Carlsberg ones, Squires meets every Wednesday.
I'm sure there will be more over the year.
As you say Berlin organises race meets, for those whose cuppa it appeals to.

The AR is held every year as its a National Org event to bring all our members together.

High Dizzy,
I know the Pennine Section have a lot of rides out etc just suggesting that there probably would be enough interest for a camping get together over and above an AR meet.

Yeah I know.
But people never never put a local meet over an AR meet
We have had camping get togethers, just not too many, the Hardy Bikers one was in a hostel...but then camping in Winters a bit cold

Many other sections have camping/bunkhouse/hostel rideouts and get togethers, and they extend the invite to other regions too.
