Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
man that was good, as was my commute home on the bike (only my fourth or fifth in several years) and going round the corner onto j1 of the m1 at a decent speed with a bit of lean angle and the most beautiful of sunsets. almost wish I could've stopped to take a picture of it!

16 degrees today and no rain, topped the tyre pressure up on the AL7 and went out for a 50 mile ride, first of this year - had almost forgotten how good it feels to be on a good bike rather than in a fugbox.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Tonight at Lord's there is a dinner at Lord's to which every former England cricketer, male and female, has been invited. Over 250 of them. I met a former colleague in the pub for a quick drink before he headed to the meal and bumped into lots of people I haven't seen for ages. A couple were on my hit list for getting them to donate or loan us things for the Lord's museum. So in the time it took me to drink a glass of wine I'd persuaded Matt Prior to finally hand over his England cap (he always vowed he'd give me one of his children before he handed that over), and arranged for several other players to donate items this summer (and been invited to Marlborough College for a match in April with dinner afterwards.)
Not only was it a very pleasant hour in the pub but I've actually managed to achieve one of my work objectives for the year so my boss is happy.
