Bleedy wind.

This morning the wind was a gentle south westerly off shore breeze, calm sea etc, so we walked down to have a chilled afternoon swimming in the sea and lazing on the beach.

But no, the winds picked up and swung round to the south east, making it too rough for my youngest to chance it.

Its too hot to do much else

Working my butt off in the build up to the biggest match we have at work every 4 years, the stress, the long hours, the pain in my Achilles being on my feet all day... And then watching England collapse.

The idiot who has just picked up what I take to be his grandson from the local primary school.

I would guess the lad to be 7-8 years old. Sat on the back of grandads bike. Grandad has all the gear, grandson however, is in his school shoes, trousers, jumper and an adult helmet, judging just how quick it went on.

Poor kid cannot touch the foot pegs, has no gloves. OK he is probably having the time of his life clinging onto grandad. But...... the grandad/biker in me just wanted to say, don't be so stupid. How could you live with yourself if anything happened. But I just stayed quiet and waited for my own grandson to come out of class and walked home.

Getting to the gym and finding you've picked up everything but your shorts.
