Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Might be able to afford one soon - I only went and got meself a job!!!
No longer will I be benefit scrounging scum but I will be a properly paid catering assistant!! The up side is that the kids and I will be MUCH better off, the downside is that I will be a catering assistant, and without wanting to sound arrogant, I should be so much more I am really struggling with the idea. Had my life gone to plan I'd have just finshed my PGCE and be taking up my first teaching post. As it happens, i'll be wiping the tables, frying the chips and re-stocking the vending machines. It sucks!!! But its the right thing to do. I just keep having dangerous thoughts about shiny red Daytonas |

Congratulations Kelly. You never know what the future may hold but enjoy the knowledge that you were the best person that they saw, and the only person they wanted for the job.

Thanks guys - still feels like an overwhelming under-achievement.

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
I've done some pretty crappy jobs in the past
Picking califlowers, working at a pig farm and I must have had the longest paper round known to man, which went out into the country. Sunny summer days it was fine, but winter rounds, with the sunday papers was a killer But it meant I got moola, to spend on things, so as you point out you're not a scrounger anymore. Its a tough jobs market out there and I'd be happy to do this than muck pigs out. Think postive girl

Congrats KJ. It may not be quite what you wanted but at least it's still a step in the right direction.

Congratulations
Life is what happens whilst you're making plans! Whose life really goes to plan anyway (not counting those b*stards that knew what they wanted to do from the age of 10!). |

Congrats Kelly. Any job is a good job these days. And at least you'll be earning more than me

On the subject of debt , just as a little teaser we went over to Stratstone Triumph Leicester yesterday, I wanted to sit on a Daytona 675 to see if the position is too extreme but it was fine, tho the seat was seriously uncomfortable even for a girl with my 'adequate padding'! Also sat on a speed triple cos I am very drawn to them, but always dismissed naked bikes cos Jeffs always told me I dont want one! Well, I felt instantly 'at home' on it and really want a test ride. I mean REALLY, REALLY want a test ride!! |

Re: 'Ere 'ere is the EAR Megathread
Speed Triple is lovely... but I needed something more sensible which is why I swapped... plus the fact I kept hearing so many stories about engine/oil troubles
and gratz on the job |
