Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Ive stayed in the Ramside a few times, cracking hotel, good value & they do a great bento box, then again Ive stayed in the Airport Hotel at Croydon which is the opposite end of the scale apart from price,

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I had a suite at the Landmark one night. All very nice but if you want tea or coffee you have to call room service, it's £12.50 and then you have to wait for it.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
The last of the great railway hotels built beside a London terminus, used to be called the Grand Central. Get's good reviews but considering the 5 star rating I'm surprised a tea is only £12.50, which I'm sure will upset anyone who lives north of Watford but, well, that's London for you.

It always looks a bit run down. But then the airport closed in 1959...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I am gainfully employed again. Start my new contract later this week in Maidenhead, so a very reasonable 11 mile commute. Considering how bored I was getting this is a huge relief, even though I will have to start getting up early again.
