Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Why in gods name do cage drivers always tell bikers that someone has died at the weekend while they were riding their bike?
Is it just me that finds this slightly annoying? Should I start telling them about everyone thats died in their car just in case they know them?

Yes true but I had already started altering the pipework for the new stuff so now I need to alter it again. Plus they want plastering done ASAP but the electrician isn't starting until 24th August

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
They might be just a bit slow like me. I woke up thinking that the builder will have cast slab and be building walls by the time I get back from the GM.. Happy thoughts until I thought about pipes under the slab.... and realised the drawings show the kitchen waste in completely the wrong place! Luckily I've remembered in time, but this could so easily have been a 'change of mind'

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
this job is refitting a downstairs loo and putting a basin in there that wasn't there before, separate bathroom next door which they want everything stripped out and converted to a rather small office/study. It was a case of here's the new toilet, basin etc etc and then "we've ordered a different toilet as we like it more than the one we've already bought"
