Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Gorillaz released four tracks from their forthcoming album last night. And announced they would be giving away just 150 pairs of tickets for a secret London show today. Guess who won a pair - MEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! (Well Mr LPH but it was me who entered his email address).
So tonight I'm off to a little venue in Dockside to see them play the whole of the new album. Then Margate in June for the Demon Days festival. People think Essex is a bit cr@p - but it gave you Gorillaz, Blur, Prodigy and Tiptree jam!

I quite like all four of those, but I'm not sure what that says about me...

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Superb show. Loads of the collaborators were there, I love a bit of De La Soul and it was great to see Noel Gallagher and Graham Coxon join them on stage. I had a lady about the same height as me come and stand next to us and she was saying about being annoyingly short at gigs. I recognised her right away as the artist Jessica Albarn. I love her work and so we chatted about her meadow in Devon that is adjacent to a holiday cottage I rent where she studies the insects that she draws. I'd love to buy an original but they are £5k+

Discovered a lead to charge my wife's dead iPad, it was heading to the recycling centre.
Now see gripe of the day

Argument with the other half.
Why's that a smile? The bike is very clean now. Now for the apology... |

It's rhubarb season. My own isn't quite ready yet but I bought some to make rhubarb, blueberry and port with almond crumble.

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I slept in today, woke up at just before half 7, as i hadn't set the alarm as my wife was supposed to be on a 10 o'clock start. Unbeknown to me, my wife had gone to work at 7
My 12 year old said she didn't want to wake me, as she thought I might be tired, she was catching the bus to school & I didn't need to take her and she'd texted her mate to say we wouldn't be picking him up! Pity my elder daughter wasn't so reliant on Dad's taxi when she was at school
