i was gonna join at junction 10 of the m56 meetin my mate about 745 in stockport its only a short blast to j10 from there if he cant make it i will probly be a bit earlier. I know the a49 but never been that far down on it is it a pretty clear run?

Sounds good to me mate if you come off at j10 onto the 49 the road is nice and wide so we could meet there if you like ? will and hour an half be enough time to get down there via the 49?

We'll get together on the Warrington side of the RA, there is a layby there. I know the A49 like the back of my hand, and that's plenty of time. PM'd my moby.

From the M56, an hour is enough - I can make to to the motorway from my house (on the south side of S'bury) in an hour in the car. Yes it's pretty well a straight run, don't forget to turn right at The Red Fox (just beyond Tarporley). It's 50 miles of twisty road, I love it!! At Beeston you come down a fairly steep hill and there's a sharp left under the railway bridge. When you're coming near to Shrewsbury you'll come through a tiny village called Preston Brockhurst (just after Lee Brockhurst) - there is a 90 degree left bend, be warned - there's a 40 limit there. And there's a sharp right just after. But the rest of it is fine. Just after Preston Brockhurst is a long straight stretch down to Hadnall, good for overtakes. Hadnall itself has a 30 limit. You're nearly in Shrewsbury by this stage, the services are about another 15 mins, maybe slightly more.

Just had a downpour here but it's passed over now.

Now off to ablute and have a haircut.
