Re: What have you tinkered with today?
I still have 1 from the 70's but its the wrong thread for the sv, gunson say using an adaptor on the larger colortune may lower compression to much to work.
That's why I bought the 10mm version made for motorcycles. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Got three different petrol engines and three different spark plug sizes - a right pain.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Just got the correct size quick release pins to retain my tank, all in with no clearance issues. For more under tank clearance I could fit the first pins I got which are about 10mm longer they could be used with a spacer because I have turned down the heads for triple tree clearance but I don't think the turned down heads look neat.

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
There are no spacers in the photos that is the knob to grip the quick release pins.
The first pins I bought were long enough for spacers under the take but I had to grind the knob diameter down because the top triple clamp hit it on full lock. |

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
if i'm seeing this properly then you just grip the black flange on the top of the collar and pull to release?

Re: What have you tinkered with today?
Well, yesterday really. Oil and filter change, checked the tyre pressures, topped up the Scottoiler, checked chain tension, smeared some vaseline around the end of the rubber twistgrip to stop it binding on the bar end weight, adjusted the clutch cable, and gave the bike a quick wipe down to get the dust off it.
All prepped ready for my trip down to Sir Benfro tomorrow. |

You grab the black flange push the button then pull. It works really well.

Since we are in lockdown and I have a new camera I tried it out. It shows some features of my bike in a walk around. 1st attempt from chest mount which I will use riding, sound is very quite due to waterproof case. Last edited by gt alex; 01-08-21 at 01:11 PM. |
