He's also into bikes and cars, we have similar taste in music which isn't Rhianna and Justin Bieber and I know what a reverse sweep is. But I keep a huge stash of chocolate in my desk drawer and I don't get ID'd in the off licence! That's probably why he's happy being out with me

The only smile this morning was the guy on an S1000RR who allowed himself to show me what it can do from a standing start.

Apart from the acceleration, the noise was fantastic, even with the popping on the up change.

I'm now insured on one of those, we took delivery a couple of weeks ago and it's cluttering up the garage. No plans on riding it, blooming uncomfortable and it's got rim tape and nowhere to stash my handbag.

Default Smile of the day - What is yours?

You have an S1000RR and wonder why a 22 year old man with brains is willing to help you at work. Did he offer to sit on the back and hold your handbag for you by any chance?

It's Stuart's new toy. Not really my thing, I prefer my GS.

As for the 22 year old, he gave up his afternoon off on Wednesday to help me oversee a Sky Sports drone shoot that eventually wrapped at 9.30pm. He said the alternative was sitting around at home with 4 other young cricketers playing computer games or watching YouTube. Most of the lads seem to do very little of interest in their spare time. The youth of today eh?

bike now MOT'd, flew through as per

34k on the clock and the bike has let me down twice, once with a rec/reg plug and the other was a front brake disc button. not bad for a 10 year old bike
