I wish my dad had gone into care instead of staying in a home supposedly independent where he suffered a series of falls and not preparing himself healthy food lead to his diabetes worsening and shortened his life.

I had to work late tonight, yet again, at a corporate cricket event for Investec but at least it wasn't too exhausting. I was ball girl for the England cricket team. Stop sniggering.

Things are always found in the last place you looked - because when you find what you were looking for any sane person will stop looking.

I took an ancient laptop on holiday and didn't even use it but at some point I moved it from the car to the cottage. I found the keys in a side pocket. What's most irritating is I'd checked the main compartment and the other pocket the power cable was in last week. At least I hadn't had time to order a new key costing about £200.
