Carnivore is on there I think, or maybe he just lurks.

What's up with PMS? They seem heavy, but this is first MTB I've ridden that has suspension.

They've got one of these on demo at the Hub at Glentress, nicely built up with Fox 40s. Bit of a shame really since there's nothing there that can really justify it. It looks like a bike from the future

Yeah, but not very much, I'm just looting their knowledge to help me do my semi-retro rebuild of my ancient carrera rigid, and buying a couple of bits... But I think it'll lack a bit of cred with those guys somehow given its lineage Great forum though. I saw a Raleigh Ascender 2 in the skip at my local dump a while back, I was so tempted to grab it and go on there with the ultimate restoration project

Ahhhhrg I'm knackered.

6 mile ride with a couple of decent hills in it, not too bad. Half mile swim in the middle of it.... badddd!

I'm going to be fit for nothing tomorrow, just back from a night ride at glentress Never ridden there at night before, loved it! I didn't really have the familiarity with the trails to ride them with any pace but still had a brilliant time, night riding's so different to day riding but I've only done local XC before. Nearly binned it on a tree route though... And absolutely shattered, it's not more riding than I'm used to but we did it in about 2/3 the time I'd usually allow for that.

My cheap(ish) light setup worked wonders, really pleased- it's just a pair of LED torches from hong kong, cost me maybe £80 including the batteries and charger, but it totally outshone my mate's dual newts and joystick combo (£250) and pretty much matched the other guy's Light and Motion Seca (£400). He had the better focused beam, I had the better flood. Smug! (though I did have to stop every hour and change the damn batteries)

Night riding's awesome... I'll almost miss it come summer.
