Today I managed to sneak Joe Root's fiancee, mum and his little baby on you the edge of the outfield in his buggy so that in years to come Joe can tell his first born that he was their to witness the toss the first time his dad was England cricket captain. He's only a few months old, but these things are important. His dad went on to win the toss and is currently heading towards 200.

No work for nearly 2 weeks, switching the phone off, not checking my emails.
It's been a mad few months, so looking forward to not doing too much apart from chilling out.

Completely outside of my job description on Thursday I helped an MCC member track down some very expensive binoculars he thought he'd lost. Even got the cab he'd left them in to bring them to Lord's later that day after a bit of sweet talking to them.
