Re: The All New Megathread
I really like trail riding. Mainly through lack of talent/fitness/offroad testis, I prefer it to more technical trials riding which is probably a heathenous admission. It's great fun and on the right route can be as easy going or technical as you like (guess that's where you come in Gary?!)
What bike are you plumping for...and do you get any say?

I think we’ll be going for an adventure type machine for me as I’ll be riding all sorts of roads from A and B roads to single/goat track type roads (my favourites!). We may be looking at something like a Honda Africa Twin. |

Re: The All New Megathread
Africa Twin? AFRICA TWIN? Get one of the new V-Stroms!
Actually, last time I was at the Ponda, there was one of the new Yam 700 Teneres. I had a good look over it and it's a very attractive machine, looks really slim and light. |

Re: The All New Megathread
Vstrom or Himalayan would be my choice (based on not a great deal). Although reliability of the Honda might be favourable for a business (but VStrom should be pretty dang reliable)

Re: The All New Megathread
I've been working all lockdown on sites with people from all over, including people travelling up from England. I'll actually be a lot safer (in terms of covid spreading) out on my bike where the only times I'll interact is at petrol stations. And even then I'll have gloves on to fill up, pay contactless and have my face covered. Bollox to missing out on another year of riding. I'm just not doing it this year
