Re: Vintage film cameras
£7.99 untested. Fingers crossed! Missing its battery cover so hoping one from a Pentax will fit.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Yeah, I thought so to. Need to try and pick up a couple of Minolta lenses at some point. Good news everybody! My La Sardina has decided it wants to work. No idea how but the shutter lever has straightened itself.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Interesting piece of tech ~ a self straightening-shutter lever. Does that mean you can try it out now?

Re: Vintage film cameras
Hopefully yes. The shutter lever is on the lens that extends out and up, and there is a setting lever on the body. This is driven by the film sprockets and pushes the shutter lever (still following?) Because it was bent, the setting lever would either stick without completing the cycle or miss totally. Its another of those cameras where someone could mistake it for being faulty when all it needs is film.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Shame that's in the wrong part of the country.
By the way, X300 battery cover will fit the X700. The base plates look identical Last edited by yokohama; 10-01-17 at 07:13 PM. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
So are you sending your poor brother on a Spotmatic hunt?
The big omg photo ... sorry but I've no idea about that one. You and Johnny are much more clued up than me on older cameras. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
You should definitely send him after the Spotmatic! Not sure what the massive pic above is either? Another half frame?
