It's a step in the right direction at least Gary.

That's (sorta) good news Gary! Chin up, I'm in a kind of similar situation - not nearly as agrieved, landlord who I know needed to sell unexpectedly. Moved yesterday - no kitchen or carpets and had to bin a lot of my stuff including chairs and sofas annoyingly so nowhere to sit - but I've got WIFI and a toaster
Sharing in case it offers some solace ...unless you don't have a toaster in which case you can borrow the second slot on mine

Toaster will be coming with me Dave.

There are last minute developments on the housing front, I’ll update when I get a chance and when I’m not so damn tired.

The shabby house is now not happening as I have been offered, and accepted somewhere absolutely ideal. A couple of Quaker friends have a lovely, old, rambling house, the end of which has been turned into a small separate annexe. I am moving into there. I’ve also been given workshop space for the bike and all my tools and equipment, and an area to grow veg over the summer. It’s all rent free.

Sometimes I am moved to tears by the kindness and generosity of people.

Thank you Mike. It felt like a long, hard fight these last 12 months. I am so relieved. Currently celebrating with a nice bottle of French red Cabernet Sauvignon.
