Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Fair enough, I more often come across the "head buried in phone" type. Or even the "reading a book whilst walking down Oxford Street at rush hour" type. Nuts.

I'm not saying it was done on purpose but a "glancing blow" when passing one of the head-down-on-the-phone types meant they almost dropped their distraction device, which was hilarious. It could be a new sport

Ordered the wrong battery for the SV, didn't realise until I had filled it with acid and put it in place

Airlines saying an adult ticket is from 12 years old WTF
Also on the school run this morning some dim wit mum driving her kids to school whilst on the phone, she had the phone like this, but more extreme head angle

Gripe of the day - What is yours?
People who phone me at work and tell me how to fix a problem when they haven't seen the problem themselves.
They phone up and tell me the solution is taking too long and I'm not taking enough precautions even though they haven't even looked at what the problem is, what I'm doing it how I'm doing it. Add to that the ones who give advise when it's not their problem or responsibility, or their neck on the line. |

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Moving a stove. I was so sensible - went out and bought a sack truck, got a neighbour to help get it out of the car. Tied it to truck, wheeled it the long way round to the house. Then we've got a porch and 2 steps so we had to carry it into the house. All was fine then we put it down and out went my back.
Manage to crawl to bed and pass out. Next morning was scary, took over an hour just to get out of bed. After a slow hobble over to my thankfully local doctors surgery, I'm now as high as a kite on some amazing drugs.
