American chocolate is naff. Unfortunately Kraft now own Cadbury, and its been turning more American each year since the takeover some years back. Yuk and manky Hersheys just tastes like vomit combined with off milk.

My American cycling buddy eats as much French cheese when we've been cycling in France, as he can't get it in the US, because of import bans on this type of food stuff.

I've been drinking raw unpasteurized milk from the farmers market this week. Delicious.

Often it's not due to food safety, but political & economic decisions.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Wait 6 months for a rheumatoid specialist consultation, yippee it is on Thursday morning and I go back to the orthopedic specialist in the afternoon who referred me.
Oh no, not again. Postponed for another 2 weeks. So the afternoon with the orthopedic surgeon is going to be a complete waste of time. talk about left and right hands not knowing what they are doing. Bloody NHS commissioning is run to reduce expenditure not fix first time and in turn reduce ongoing expenditure.
