People who say they go shopping, but don't come back with staples like bread and eggs.
Meanwhile we've 11 cans of sweetcorn, vile Christmas biscuits and not much else.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
I know better than to send Mr LPH to do the weekly shop without everything on a list. I had assumed he'd get the staples, milk, bread, cat food etc. and my list would be the extra bits we only need occasionally like bin bags, foil - I ended up with donuts, jelly, beer, crisps, bacon and a DVD. It was like Homer Simpson had done my shopping!

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
Less a gripe more sitting in disbelief.
I mentioned about 3 weeks ago that Alan Wilson the man who got me into American Football and was a mentor to lots of people died of a heart attack. Well yesterday I was given the horrible news that his wife died on Friday, she had collapsed on the day of his funeral and it turns out it was a serious aneurysm and she's never recovered. Her kids all in their 20's had to make the decision to stop her treatment and let her pass only weeks after loosing their father suddenly. I just don't know how you handle loosing parents like that and so young...

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
That's terrible, i hope they get some proffesional support, as I've found out losing friends and colleagues difficult enough. But your mum and dad?
The sun maybe shining, but not in my head reading this.

Re: Gripe of the day - What is yours?
The other party have won their court appeal (judgment was made in my favour as they did not respond to court summons) so now the claim for my bike accident last year has to go back to court. They still do not contest liability, only that I'm claiming for excessive costs (like replacing my smashed in helmet). Literally most of the claim is now court/solicitor/hire bike fees and what I'm claiming for my accident in only about a 1/4 of this.
