I don't use those auto checkouts anyway, another way of cutting more jobs from the already depleted workforce, even if they are part time and minimum wage

I had only popped in and couldn't afford the time as I had a meeting over lunch and simply needed a few bits in a hurry. No empty manned tills, self service ones were only ones without a queue. (now I know why)

Why do they only have minimal staff in these places? I would pay an extra quid or so to get immediate service. I want to pay and leave. Not queue looking at what the people in front of me are buying.

Cos then everyone would have to pay an extra pound, and everyone would go somewhere else instead.

Or you could have an express checkout where you pay a pound because you're in a hurry but that's a big can of worms for the supermarket. And it would only get full of old slow rich people anyway.

A customer insinuating my work was of a lower quality and accusing me of chipping her shower tray and "making the grout come out of the floor tiles" despite the fact everything was covered with dust sheets etc

On this occasion I finished the job, packed up and left. I know I didn't chip the shower tray as I had a dust sheet folded in the tray and taped in place same for the floor.
If I break or damage something I tell them and come to a mutually agreeable solution, this woman is just being a pita

Those cowardly illegitimate sons of ****** (You sensing a theme here?)

Who for no reason drive down a cul-de-sac in order to turn round (Why?) and decide to reverse into the side of my car parked overnight outside my house and in the finest tradition of the scroat bugger off without saying a word, knocking on a door etc.

Nice surprise for me when I got up this morning. Wheel arch repair required, been to tame body shop where I get the labour free, so materials only bill.
