I have a Fizik Aliente but it made me a bit numb whereas my specialised avatar just hurts my sit bones. Suppose I could try the aliente again and see if i can get on with it, they get great reviews but dont have the pressure relieving groove in them. Defo going to get a full bike fit in the spring, i think my seat maybe too far back as i use a 80mm stem and the bike came with a 120mm one.

Theres a thread running on bike radar about saddles, might be worth a look at to get some more ideas

My Aliante has got the pressure relieving groove, I know some of the other Aliante models don't.

Here's mine (I've got 2), which is the Aliante Versus

http://www.wiggle.co.uk/fizik-aliant...th-kium-rails/

So has my unknown Specialized

My Specialized Phenom also hurt my sit bones, as I don't have much padding in that area.

There is a saddle swap section on Bike Radar, saves buying if someone has got a saddle you want

Have a look on Bike Radar for sale section, I've just got a carbon Bontranger seat post for £20

You'll find more non layback saddles in the Mountain bike for sale section

I am registered, but normally I record my rides on my Garmin.

I am using my phone to GPS track my route, but as it doesn't allow me to add hrm data I don't use it.

Mav, strava will accept Garmin data if you want to use it.

Sent from my phone.
