Re: Vintage film cameras
Still nothing. If he's on holiday until this weekend, I'll be surprised if anything turns up before the end of next week.
I can still get you the Nikon AD2 adapter if it's urgent. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Some from the Olympus Trip at the Mining Museum and Sculpture Park. Some are a bit dark but I think that's a combination of the weather and the tones on the Poundland film

Re: Vintage film cameras
What are you scanning with? It looks like they have a textured background. Nice shots by the way!

Re: Vintage film cameras
I noticed that textured look too. It's even more apparent on some of the other shots. I've no idea what it is. They were scanned to disc at Spielman's . My last lot weren't like that.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Is there any issues with the negs? If not I would probably ask them to rescan. If not post them down and I'll scan them for you. I'll pass on the lens as I have the Sigma 28mm mini wide you sent down.
Just been flicking through gumtree and there is an x300 round the corner for £35 with f1.7. I do think film camera prices are starting to climb. Sent from my Xperia

Re: Vintage film cameras
Ta for the Wex thing, I have no sensible PP software, not that I really do any. Yoko the first two look underexposed, I would guess the sky light has foxed the sensor. The others have less contrast. I can see some scratches too - my last Poundland film was scratched by Max Spielmann - but the canvassy texture is a bit odd, can you see it on the negs?

Re: Vintage film cameras
I mostly use it for cropping and straightening horizons. I have version 8 but couldn't pass up a freebie.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I downloaded DX0 too. I haven't got any editing software so it might come in useful.
I can't see the strange texture on the negs and I don't know what it is. I'm not so bothered as it was only a test roll in the Trip. Actually Johnny, you're right about the underexposures, I just remembered. The lens caps on both Trips I had were loose so I put some tape on the inside of the rims to stop them falling off. It worked, they fit snugly now but on the Trip, the ASA dial is on the end of the lens so twist the lens cap off and the ASA settings can change. In this case, it switched to 400 for a 200 ASA film. Something I need to keep an eye on next time. |
