I have a 500 and use it on both bikes. Have speed/cadence sensor on both and easy to set up/swap between bikes. I like the 500 a lot, and since I've never had a 'puter with maps I don't miss it.

As for single-speed, been riding my Genesis Flyer all winter (except in snow/sub-zero temps) to and from work. Got to say that I do feel fitter. The drive-train is holding up well and it's a certainly a livelier ride than my geared road bike. Great fun, and the steel frame is sooooo comfy

Not ridden it fixed yet - that is for another day....... and pedals with toe-clips rather than SPDs

Yep, I've got a 305, and it does what I want it to do. Same as you, I've got a mount on each bike

The reason I've not bought a 500, even though the prices were really good, was that Rob our guide in the Pyrenees had one, and it wasn't collecting all the data. Same problem as mine, as it wasn't 'seeing' the satellites in the valley's.

The latest ones, the 510 & 810 can pick up more satellites, so should be better.

So I'm going to hold off buying one until I've seen some reviews on them.

I can't fault my 305, its better than all the computers I've ever had, no setting it up and tracks where I've been, up hill and down dale

Saw an advert for a 510 last night. Touch-screen. Very nice

I bought a 500 from the LBS in the end. Looked at the 800 / 810 but the price difference is way to much just for the maps which I'm not convinced I'd use that much.

Got £30 off the retail price as they did me a good deal so happy with that.

Jabba, fixed is amazing. The improvement in smoothness and "Oneness" with the bike over a single speed is the same again as single speed over geared. Plus it feels safer knowing I always have a brake that works, no matter how wet it gets.

Ran over a cat yesterday, little bugger hopped up onto a wall, I started to brake, but to late he jumped into the road in front of me. Stopped and then ran into my path. despite what Liz describes as some serious bike skills, I ran him over, right square across his back with my front wheel. Which tipped me off into the road.

Slid along on my ****, thigh, and right arm. Still clipped to the bike... have a nice set of bruises and gravel rash, worst bit was I was on my LOOK before I had even stopped sliding I was looking at it for damage.

Cat ran off so have no idea how the little feline is. Bike is ok, all cosmetic, to put it back to minit

New Saddle
Both the hoods on my levers are scuffed as well.

Bib Longs have a nice whole in the knee and my Mavic H20 Jacket has a decent size whole in the shoulder.

Saw this on your strava, you aren't having the best of luck lately.

Still bumps and bruises are part and parcel of cycling sometimes.

I've been ill since Monday, and now on antibiotics for my usual chest infection. I'd prefer bumps and bruises to how I've felt the last couple of days.

Note to self, get that flu jab sorted out for the next flu season

Anybody game for a summer 2013 Org cycle?

Rotten luck about the fall + being ill. Shame too as we had some nice weather recently!

Yep, I'd be up for something, although my calendar is pretty full already.

I wasn't anticipating doing any riding this week, as its school holidays, so I'd rather be ill this week, than once they've gone back to school.

I can't complain too much, as I haven't been sick since this time last year

But at the moment I feel I've been run over by a truck
