Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Last night I was riding home at about 10pm. Engine was warm and I was just beginning to get flowing along a dual carriageway in town when I hit a pothole and the lights went out, engine lost power and the dash went off. I pulled the clutch to change down and the engine stopped, let the clutch out and the engine bump started but with no power. The lights stayed off. I pulled on to a pavement and started checking around. Kill switch was fine.
The cause made me smile but I'm still puzzled by it. |

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
Wearing a coat I'd not worn since last year's cold weather, reached into a pocket and found £80!
Think I'd drawn it out of a cash point and thought I'd put it in my wallet, as I had a panic attack as I thought I'd post it, now I know where it was It's not a coat I wear very often, result!

Reaching my second oil change this incoming week (due in 500mi ish) but I'll probably do it tomorrow, tighten the chain, polish etc before next weeks commuting fun and frolicks
Clean looking used oil is mildly satisfying Last edited by Chris_SVS; 11-11-17 at 08:16 PM. |

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I'm in Norfolk visiting my folks and to get out of the house for a few hours I explained Geocaching to dad dragged him out with me on a trek around the village. He was fascinated when we found our first cache just round the corner from their house and how simple the hiding place was for the second. Disappointed we could not find the third and elated that he found the fourth and last of the day just as the light was fading. We walked around bits of the village he'd not been to in years, bumped into one of his old workmates he'd not seen in months and generally reminisced. I've not seen the old sod so happy for ages.

I cannot find Boredom on the map. Is it close to you or was it a long drive?
