Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I'm thinking of celebrating Thanksgiving next year. My brother tells me it's his favourite holiday. It's all the best bits of Christmas without the not so good bits.
There's turkey dinner but you don't have to buy everyone presents. Sounds good to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Belated smile. Jacket zip finally died as I was getting ready to leave work last night. Annoying but made me smile, as well as freeze riding 22 miles home with a couple of bungies holding my jacket closed. New jacket time.

Visiting my mum in hospital (suspected pneumonia)
The lady in the next bed gets a call on her mobile. Call goes a bit like this " Hello; yes? How did you get this number? Do you know where I am? On holiday? I'm in hospital, **** off!!!!!! Cold called by a local double glazing company

It comes with a card I can pay for online stuff too. Because it's not in my wallet, I'm not tempted to use it. Better than giving it to a big corporation to make money on and not pay it back with interest.

btw i'm with scottish hydro and its one of the best utility companies i have ever dealt with and do the rebate automaticity every 6 months back into my bank account. unlike brittish ripoff who are the worst ever to deal with, they still send me bills in my mums name even though she is dead and the account was settled. |

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours?
I was just saying that was my method of saving for Christmas, and although my money's profitting the bank I use, it's not profitting a utility companies profit who overcharge their customers and probably have millions of £s in overpayments in lots of accounts like yours Bib.
If you choose to overpay, and get it repaid that's fine. I was just giving my method, which avoids having someone walk away with your Christmas club money.
