By chance saw this chap land in the big fir tree in the corner of the estate here at Trev Towers. Obligingly it sat there long enough for me to scamper upstairs and bolt the long lens on. Light was rubbish but we had a good staring contest for a bit until it got bored and soared off. Fascinating things Red Kites.

Seem to be getting more common. See them soaring around the skies over Suffolk now and then.

Not sure we've got Red Kites over here yet, but Buzzards are making a comeback. Same size as a Kite, different tail.
