I don't even contemplate the "I'll sell it on" bit!

Got a step closer to fixing the Yashica Sequelle. The timing was off for co-cking the shutter so I took the gear board off and repositioned it. Now it works to a point. The contacts that switch the motor are broken so will need gluing somehow. Then I need to sort the jammed shutter.

Damn! Damn! Damn And F-word.
Walking round York today I stupidly, stupidly had a quick peek in a charity shop. This little guy was sitting all alone on a shelf in half a case with a £10 sticker on. What could I do?
I've only just realised the implications of this one ......

That Sequelle looks complicated. I wouldn't know where to go in there.

Hmmm, M42 You could get a Super Takuma for it or a Helios 44M. Oh dear, looks like you have the bug now! It looked complicated until this morning when I got it to wind. Getting there but no idea how to get the shutter off. I also finished off the roll of FP4 that was in the bulk loader. Got a 30exp roll before running out. I think it is out of date but will see what we get.

Yeah. M42, I realised that when I'd got it home. Ah well, maybe WYC have an AD2 adapter to use in the meantime. The Fujica seems sound, winds on and works mechanically. I put a couple of batteries in to check the meter, which is working but I have to give the shutter a half press and at the same time push a stop down button.

Stop down metering? Not had to do that yet. Got loads of cameras loaded, just need better weather and time to get out and shoot.

I managed to source a manual. With a Fujinon lens, the metering is as per normal (some kind of lug on it) but with other m42s it's stop down metering. I think my old Praktica was like that but there was only one button to press.
In York, I fired off most of a roll with the Pentax MX and a Sigma 28-80 - 2 shots left I think. I really like this camera; light, informative viewfinder and it feels good in the hand.
Also, dropped into Infinity Motorcycles and picked up a replacement indicator so overall, a productive day.

We went out and did some window shopping. Been dropping bids on Instax Mini cameras and losing out. Apart from that, not much doing.
