Along the same lines, but adverts that use well known songs that are sung deliberately slowly with only a guitar or piano as the only musical accompning the sad forlorn singer.

A cheap and quick way to use someone elses material, to flog us something we don't want or need, but lureing us in with this seductive tune. The Barclays Bank one with the horses comes to mind.

It's just a Zafira and all I want to do is replace blown lamps and flat batteries. I'm not trying to gas flow the flux capacitor or shizzle my shims so why can't these jobs be designed to use fairly standard diy tools?

Don't even start me on the costs to do these things. Halfwits charge £80 - £100 for a battery, the RAC, with discount, charge £122 for supply and fit. The battery at the local parts store was £34.79. I could buy the tool and still 'save' against the overinflated pretend cost of fitting, but I end up with a tool I only ever use once.

I'm waiting for the day some motor manufacturer evil sadistic dictator designer pr*ck decides the tyre valve needs to be hidden behind a load of body panels, or inside the engine head behind a heptagonal headed bolt.

Also charities. The sob stories may be real but when charities sell donors' details to their mates 'in the trade' it's nothing but a scam. How much of your donation actually benefits those the charity is supposedly working for?

British Fords (edit: not a slur btw) and oil pumps... I've never had one that hasn't packed it in (the last was 30 years ago though) and it is usually expensive.

The Transit's packed it in out in the middle of nowhere yesterday... It was towed, the guys driving it were flown home and the van should be on a truck tomorrow.

That's the reason they can all get lost as far as I am concerned, there is someone at the top of these charities with a much much richer life than the donators!

I'll continue to fund my in-laws overseas with what could go to local charities, atleast I know the only bugger getting some of it is western union for the transfer
