I see nothing on politics or ethnicity. But perhaps that's because I'll take the **** out of anyone who announces themselves as a genius. It's the sort of claim that just asks for shots. And it sounds rather like Roland Rat.

Default Smile of the day - What is yours?

If I don't like people with a big ego does that make me an egotistist?

**EDIT But what made me smile more was that autocorrect changed egotist to negotiator!!!

Text conversation with a female friend I was staying with, about dinner that evening:

Her: Do you like salmon and fennel?
Me: Yes to salmon, not sure about fennel, I really don't like penis.
Her: Er, okay... we can talk about that later...
Me: About what?
Her: Well I know you've split with Stuart, was that part of the problem?
Me: Eh? Why would me not liking aniseed contribute to my marriage breaking up?
Her: Oh, I misunderstood.
Me (after re reading what I'd sent her): F'ing autocorrect, I meant I don't like Pernod! PERNOD! I wasn't coming out as a lesbian!
Her: OK, I'll just use peas instead then shall I?

I hate autocorrect.

I sent a message to my boss last night saying I was going home to breed, then told someone else that there were drunk pigeons giving me grief in the train.

Swype is shirt!

I've had a Mira show for about 15 years, lately it's temp has been fluctuating, so I phoned the service desk, as I think it needs a new thermostatic control cartridge.

The lady on the service desk went through the causes, and rather than have me pay for a new cartridge, she said it might be the flow being too high, so the combi boiler can't heat the water quickly enough.

So a possible cure is to fit a restrictor.

So she sent one free of charge, just to see if it cures or helps.

Not bad customer service for a 15 year old product

I have had a few MIRA showers and their customer service is absolutely spot on, one of our electric showers needed a new pressure reducing cartridge and I phoned customer service expecting them to be proverbial 'arm and a leg' cost, turned out to be about £15+ postage, arrived next morning and I easily fitted in 15 minutes.

Mind you, combi boilers are pants when you want more than a trickle, and unfortunately although they were designed to supply small flats and houses with low hot water demand (to save space needed by hot water storage tank) they get fitted to bigger places and can't hack it, the pressure switches on combis seem to be a bit temperamental as well the, combination of boiler temperature cutout and pressure switch have to be set correctly and it seems a bit of a fiddle - if flow is not enough heat exchanger gets too hot and turns burner off until it cools down, if flow too much water does not get hot enough, if water pressure sensing switch set wrong the boiler does not sense pressure drop at boiler outlet and fails to switch burner on.
