I can't remember exactly what dates she said because I was getting annoyed with her avoiding my direct questions, but I think she said something like the 18th to the 22nd.

I could set up a DD but honestly it has never been a problem before. I pay directly in to my credit card from my online banking and always pay in as much as I can afford. I get paid weekly so I always make regular payments. I think I just slacked a bit over christmas because I knew I was going to be a bit skint, and then I got unlucky landing my payment on the same day as the statement.

Oh and my gripe for tomorrow is my company telling us that we will be changing to monthly pay. They gave us a form to sign if we accept this, with no option to tick if you object to it. If they don't hear from us, that is also considered an acceptance...

ahhh its statement linked. unless you have come to prior arrangement then a 'payment due' statement will have when the payment should be made. they cant send a bill and charge you for that bill before hand as you dont know the bill amount, thats not how bills work. they have to inform you of when they are taking the payment and how much before they can take a payment or you make a payment. any payments you make outwith your bill are regarded as 'top up' payments and not part of the 'monthly bill' otherwise lets say your payments are a minimum £10 a month and you pay them £100 this does not mean that you can not pay them for 10 months.

i dont have credit but i run my household via 2 bank accounts. 1 account is my main account which all my money goes into which is also my DD and bill account. the other is my day to day, shopping and fun money account to which i top up from account number 1. this way i always have money in my account to pay the bills.

Preparing for a blizzard being described by news channels as epic and historic.
Tomorrow night's commute home will be on mountainous roads in heavy snow with depths of 18 to 24 inches and sustained winds at 35mph or better. Whiteout conditions possible.
This will certainly be a test of man and machine against nature.
To the point I'll be carrying survival gear, (chainsaw to clear fallen trees across the road, blanket, flashlight and batteries ,extra clothes, shoes, food, water, tow strap, etc) just in case.

Well can you please make the bill the same day every month so I know wtf to expect?

"No, it's between bla and bla. Good luck with that"

F***ers
Been hit with that. I had made a payment, but they credited it to the previous month and hit me with a non payment charge that they refused to waive.

It was the incentive to look elsewhere. Found an 18 month 0%. one quick balance transfer later. Greedy *******s had stung themselves as I cancelled the card citing their intransigence in resolving when is a payment not a payment.

To be truthful I have a vehicle that has travelled through 2 ft or more of snow before without problems.
Got to be there to keep those ambulances, fire and rescue vehicles going, especially during the storm.

Snow just starting at 700 am, already over half an inch 20 mins. later.

Dry January. It's been wetter than an otter's pocket.
