Re: Vintage film cameras
They do look old don't they? The negs are so much sharper but tiny! Maybe a filter would help? I was reading older posts, did you sort the light leaks on the XD 5?

Re: Vintage film cameras
I went to WYC and another Camera shop to ask advice on the seals. Neither of the repairers could see a problem. It's not coming through the shutter. I replaced the hinge seal with a longer, wider one and I'll try it again.
The only other think I can think of is if there's a seal under the top plate somewhere, around the shutter button or wind cranks. Service manual doesn't show anything though. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Strange that one, hope you get it sorted. The Paterson 3 tank worked well, I have another loaded 16mm cart with the Minolta 16ii so will shoot that at some point. Need to get the 127 films shot at some point.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Had a Dacora arrive today but the lens was no good. Took it off and fitted the Ennagon f3.5 in place of the Subita f4.5. Still 75mm. Worth a go.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Regula(r) Dr. Frankenstein aren't you! Not been up to much but getting a little time to get through the many things that ave backed up at home. I also find myself trawling ebay for cameras I don't need. Maybe it's the frustration of not having time to fiddle with the ones I've got! There is a cheap Certo 6 though, needs a replacement shutter blade (Synchro Compur) and maybe bellows, and a few Mamiya Sixes though none terribly cheap.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I'm the same. I really don't need more but cannot help myself! Maybe that is why others don't come in here. We are a bad influence on them!

Re: Vintage film cameras
I know it's quite a way from you. Only half an hour from me though. I usually go there if I need serious shopping. There's not much in Northallerton
