Mike - Woo hoo.......add me and Lilly onto the list of people doing both days riding. Following our telephone chat earlier we have hunted around and have managed to secure a room at a B&B less than a mile from Pete's Eats......so happy days. Can't wait for this as will be our first full weekend of riding. Drew (&Lilly of course)

Hovis can have my accommodation as it is looking unlikely that I will be able to make it, so I've taken the decision to withdraw now rather than leave it until the last minute.

Basically the f*ckwits whom I purchased an engine off decided to send an engine from a K1 or K2 ... not as advertised, a K3 (not only that but they sent me a service book for a K3 engine - engine numbers didn't match up, and some idiot daubed K3 on the engine casing). Trying to get this sorted out is, and has been, an absolute f**king nightmare.

Latest update is that courier was supposed to collect the engine from me yesterday (but never turned up), and so I now have to wait until tuesday (due to bank holidays) to speak to someone to sort this out. They won't send me the actual K3 engine until they have the other engine back (understandably), but that means I probably won't get the K3 engine until late next week (if I'm lucky - which I ain't recently), and so there will be insufficient time to drop the engine in and get it up and running in time for a hoon around North Wales ... and even more so considering I won't have ridden for around a month by the time I get it sorted

I don't take this decision lightly, and am absolutely gutted ... not only did I miss the "biggest and best yet" Wirral Egg Run, but now I'm gonna miss out on a weekend on some of Britain's finest roads with some of the nicest people I've had the good fortune to meet
