Right. This mleans I probaly don't have to build the "special tool" and can just follow the K3-manual procedure?
I checked my valve clearance last week & didn't dear to unmount tensioner cause I didn't have "special tool". So I could have peoceeded anyway.
1 ex-valve front-cyl. was just within spec (0.20) so I wanted to put a smaller shim in to be sure. Guess I will do that nxt week.
Tx for helping me out

Yes you can follow for K3. I wouldn't bother changing a shim if it's in spec.

On the curvys, a jigsaw blade is perfect for making a locking tool. Takes about 10 minutes.

Haha I already started assembling some source-material to make a tool out of; mainly stuff I found in our gliding-club, mainly Tost-breakpieces http://glider-equipment.nl/catalog/p...5d5950920898ec

Would you leave the clearance like it is? It might be tricky to run the engine another 24000 kms with minimal ex.valve clearance.
I could really HARDLY get a 0.20 feeler gauge in between, while for the other valves it went easily. Couldn't get a 0.25 in between nowhere though, so I guess other ex. valves must be arounf 0.22 or so.

Yeah I'm lazy. I'd check it in another 12000km instead lol

That's in fact what I first more or less decided to do, just check the ex.valves on that one camshaft in 12000 kms This normally means in 2 years for me
But I just installed a Remus too, so the bike might run a bit lean and I'm afraid the ex. valve might overheat. And after all lifting the camshaft & swapping a shim doesn't look that difficult for front cyl. I think. Only problem is reachability of tensioner.
