Re: Silverstone, 23/3
Excuse my ignorance but how loud is 100db? I know the SV would never have passed, but the Exup has a Remus (I think) exhaust on it. I don't even know if it is a race exhaust or not. It doesn't have a removable baffle, I know that much. I don't think its that loud. At least nowhere near in the same bracket as the SV was.

Re: Silverstone, 23/3
Does it have a fixed baffle (My old micron had one welded in)
If it does it is probably no louder than 98db As for how loud i suppose it is the same as a jack hammer or loud concert (according to world wide web) I have an app for my iphone i might try next time i am out. |

Re: Silverstone, 23/3
I've never really taken much notice of it really. It's round and shiny with a few scratches on it. Came with the bike. I think it is probably road legal as it doesn't seem that loud to me.

Re: Silverstone, 23/3
Reasons not to put a silly exhaust on your bike, number 387.

Re: Silverstone, 23/3
Si, 100dB is equivalent to standing 1m away from a jackhammer in use.
To put it in perspective, a C&U regs limited standard exhausts on bikes from 1991 onwards to 87dB. 100dB is more than twice as loud as a standard pipe.

Re: Silverstone, 23/3
No problems at all with this one then. Was just wondering as I heard that some circuits had limits which prevented bikes with standard cans on the track as they failed the noise test.

Re: Silverstone, 23/3
According to the Quill website my exhaust is road legal with the baffle fitted
So if a few people are going to do this one then that will be a yes from me Nothing else to do on Bank Holidays anyway |

Re: Silverstone, 23/3
Should be able to book a slot in February I'll let you know when, but with a move in the planning, might have to put it on the back burner.
